The worst part is that her parents might not have even noticed how bad it was affecting her emotionally. I have seen first-hand how well some of these teenagers can hide their feelings, it is scary. Society as a whole needs to stop the judging, we are all God's children and no one is less important than the other. Poor child, my heart goes out to her family.

"A lot" does not even describe the level of discrimination society has against people who "do not fit into the accepted norm". That a 17-year-old child can commit suicide over her sexual orientation speaks to just how badly society judges its citizens and the extent to which every person should first look to themselves before passing judgement on another. If even only 20% of the world was prepared to accept and love, the world would be a better place. My heart goes out to that young girl's family and friends.
