Maybe this will be an average for some countries, but not all countries have the same pattern or executed the same precautions since the first word of Covid-19 hit the news. Taking South Africa for instance, we have, over a wide span, international airports and harbours. The first recorded case was via KZN and fortunately, the chap went into self-isolation. Later another infection was recorded, someone entering through OR Tambo without knowing. This 'vehicle' transported how many viruses, from the air inside the aircraft, the airport with air-conditioning distributing air, places the person walked, people who touched areas the infected were, until at home and from there again until sick enough to go to the doctor. How many others were subjected to the virus that traveled where the infected one moved, and they again became vehicles if the virus stuck in or on them. But soon enough ZA took control and the eventual lockdown happened. The unseen thing is that many people can be a vehicle for this virus without knowing it, without becoming sick from it. But at least ZA has strict measures in all ways possible to curb the spread. Only time will tell in this event and also because there are may mavericks still out there, trying to defy lockdown rules and get followers to do the same. *sigh*
