The Supreme Court of the United States apparently plans to reverse the right to abortion, according to leaked documents. It is reportedly preparing to overturn the landmark 1973 "Roe v. Wade" ruling in which the right to abortion was recognised. This draft, written by conservative judge Samuel Alito, considers “abortion to be a profound moral issue” and they believe that Roe v. Wade should be overturned. The United States could return to the rules in force before 1973 when each state was free to prohibit or authorise abortions.

  If it is wrong for the court to send it back to the states, why was it right for the court to take it away from the states in the first place? Both sides need to concentrate on the underlying issues i.e. poverty, black maternal health, immigrant health and safety. Abortion is part of the problem, not the solution.
