Following the discovery of a new highly-mutated Covid variant in southern Africa, countries like Germany, Japan, Kenya, and Singapore have already restricted travel and the EU is calling on member states to halt travel to and from countries where the variant has been found. It has been described as "the most significant variant" to date but an Oxford scientist said it was "bad news but it's not doomsday." Do you think that blanket travel bans should be introduced worldwide?

  I think the unvaccinated are the ones that needs protection from the vaccinated since this virus was detected on fully vaccinated people.

  I do not think our hospitality industry will survive another blanket ban. I have a relative in the industry and they already have UK guests stranded not being able to get home and booking worth millions cancelled. We are never going to persuade everyone to get vaccinated so there will be continuous variants being discovered and we cannot afford to keep the borders closed forever
