If the pack plastered in warnings of the already very well known pitfalls of smoking is not dissuading 100% of people, well, what possible difference would another small line of text repeating the warning mantra have? Who could go through all the other anti-smoking material - the warnings, info campaigns, onerous pricing, limited smoking areas etc., tap a cigarette out, see that line and it's the straw that causes the road to Damascus conversion!? 'Well I wasn't convinced by the mountain of other hectoring but that little line, gee that sold it, that browbeat me down' said no one ever. The likes of Sir Young are going to have to learn to accept that some people just won't live their lives as Sir Young & Co. would have them. Despite the risk some people will smoke and maybe Young et al should find another more soothing hobby instead of bitterly raging that every last person won't quit. And no, any method of discouragement is *not* important and effective merely by dint of its existence, that's just cult of positivity stuff.
