Hello.. just came across your post from years ago regarding the court school of dancing.. Sorry it has taken so long but Ii have not seen this site before. Nevertheless I thought I would answer just in case.. Yes I remember that.. My mother was a teacher at the court school in the 60s.. Reigate, Sutton and Cheam in Surrey.. At first there were only a few schools and teachers. Courtney Castle started them (hence the name 'Court'). He taught personally along with his partner Queenie.. My mother Margaret and another senior teacher Yvonne ran different schools.. later they expanded to around 25 schools.. I also started going in the early 80s where much to my surprise; Yvonne was still teaching.. I became a student teacher there for a little while.. By this time Courtney had passed away and left the organisation to his son Denis.. Dennis did not teach however his son Peter did teach and subsequently taught a quick novelty lesson at my wedding reception (Zorbas dance).. Which branch was it that you went to?.. Do you remember the teacher's name? I hope you are well.. Terry 2 days ago
