Cadbury's - has your attitude towards Cadbury's changed since the takeover? Are you still buying Cadbury's products or are you boycotting them along with other products made by Kraft?
Closed

In our household we have taken a conscious decision to boycott Cadbury's products since they were sold down the river. Kraft promised all sorts of things but as soon as they got their hands on one of our iconic British trademarks they immediately reneged on those promises, closed British factories and shifted production to eastern European countries. We try not to buy anything at all made by Kraft, which is not easy as they seem to have a finger in so many pies from cheese to chocolate to coffee and biscuits, but we do our best.

Are we daft for wanting to stick by our principles like this? I thought perhaps we were, but the other day I read a news item that made me think we are far from alone in taking this stand, there are many others who feel the same about this and who are also boycotting Cadbury's and Kraft. How about you?

Thanks for the info/ I knew Kraft had taken over, but not about the rest you mentioned. i dont think i will boycott fully, but will think very hard next time my hand reaches for a cadburys bar of chocolate to be honest with you and may steer it away to something else to support all those british people who have lost their jobs......take care

I agree with all your comment but must say that I love Cadbury's chocolates too much to be able to give them up, sorry.

It is sad that a great firm has been destroyed by a takeover. I do not at the moment take a conscious decision to avoid Cadbury's. To be honest I prefer Galaxy or Aero and that goes for chocolate and hot chocolate. Just checked my Dairy Box. That's Nestle !
Will keep my open for Kraft stuff and avoid it.
