Are we destroying our own world?

What is happening around the world natural disasters or is it man himself who is destroying the planet? Australia alone has suffered floods, cyclones and bush fires in the matter of a few weeks, we in Britain have had the worst winter in decades and other countries too have suffered storms, drought and earthquakes. Is it nature’s way of depopulating or is it the way we live to day with all our demands and modern technology destroying nature’s balance? Many animals and plants are now endangered and will be lost forever; they have survived for millions of years only to be lost now. I think man has scavenged the planet; can it put it right before it is too late?

the human population probably needs to go through this process so that they become so successful in number that they then end up not being able to support themselves through energy, food and space. It will then result in mass starvation and war which is dreadful but probably inevitable- sorry to be so negative about it but there you are

the only way to save the planet is to seriously limit the number of people on the planet - it seems pointless talking about carbon footprint etc when the simplest solution would be a limit to the number of humans on the planet - increasing numbers will lead to more wars (fighting for more land) and the lack of species will result in loss food chain species so resulting in imbalance in the system. Whichever happens the human population will adjust whether through war or starvation

Much of the stuff that is happening is simply down to mother nature. Others are a result of our interference.

I certainly is a weird world at the moment and the disasters are so awful it makes you wonder if humans have caused the problems with over population and greed. Is this the way of Nature getting rid of the population to allow the world to cope better? who knows! It is awful to think of the elements that have caused so much worry and anguish in our world.

I think that you are right and that we are destroying our planet - I think that it could be put right if everybody supported it but not everybody would
