Sea Horse

This morning whilst out with our dog Kirsty, I found this dead Sea horse washed up on the beach.
I've never seen one before.

It looks like a small snake more than a sea horse I have seen them when I gone abroad Reply

only time I've seen a real one was set in glass or plastic for a paperweight :/ I suppose they have to die somewhere.. let's hope it was it's 'time' and not through pollution or fishing. Reply

According to the BBC News https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-47973127 - An unusually high number of dead seahorses have been washing up on beaches along the Dorset coast, according to a wildlife trust. They are keen to hear of other records that might give them a clue as to the cause. Reply

Aww, that's sad they're beautiful little creatures. I remember someone telling me once that they used to sell them (dead!) in Woolworth's & lucky (!) rabbits feet. Imagine that happening now. Reply

I've only ever seen them on the TV Jacqs. They are a type of fish so I've heard. They are very cute looking that's for sure. Reply
