This makes me so sad.
I was born and brought up in the South. I was a teenager when I first learned that I was considered a snob, and my excruciating shyness was mistaken for being unfriendly.
I am much more comfortable here in Scotland, but am acutely aware of how I speak.
The clip is funny but were it not a simple sketch, think what lesson those children were receiving.

Ooooh yes, they're out there aren't they Ed? Even though i'm considered a 'Southerner' i can't cope with some of the snobs, wokes etc out there. "Get over yourself" is still one of my favourite expressions to use! Reply

Hahaha that made my morning, so funny :-) It reminded me of when I first moved down to Norfolk from Manchester, I was waiting at the bus stop to catch a bus to college and I asked the locals in the queue, what time is the bus coming? Well they all started backing off and looked at me like I’d come out of the mental institution lol :-D Reply
