1 month agoHowever my favourite flower in the garden is azalea.I have them near my back door.I know they flower once a year,but wow when they do the deep pink colours I have are wow wow wow.They were my granny's favourite so it reminds me of her,and makes me smile.

My Dad was a rose fan, as was his Mum. I used to be sent out after the rag and bone man had passed to see if the horse had left any manure for the roses! Age of eight in the middle of the road with a big metal bucket and an old coal shovel! :-)
My Mum used to love Lily Of The Valley, but my Dad considered them a weed as they self propagate at a rapid rate like Spanish Bluebells.
I like wild flowers, especially poppies.
