Climate Change

I see plenty of deniers with their paved front yards, petrochemical plastic lawns, giant dual cab petrol guzzlers, oversized energy guzzling houses, consumer item driven existence. Reply

So serious I'm exploring options for moving to another planet...........................................so far no luck with air bnb. In 1972 after keeping records for over 100 years blind Freddie's Dead Dog could have looked at the weather records and see we where getting hotter days, less rainfall over the year and more importantly fewer days of rain, the rain we did get was more extreme more likely to cause a flood and isolate us from town for a couple of weeks.
Since then the Brilliant Politicians have turned it into a football saying what they believe people want to hear but have continued Business as Usual. We have seen massive fires, floods droughts and increased hear waves.
Massive tree die offs and everything else that goes along with it but there is no climate change just believe that as you die slowly and everyone else as well as all the fauna and flora follow you to their death.
It's not going to hurt the planet just the things silly enough not to leave it while we mess it up and kill everything here. So from that prospective there isn't a problem those who make money like those in the Tabbacco Industry will continue to claim it's good for you, the polies will continue to get brown paper bags of money to say what the Lobbyists who pay them want them to say and the number of things living on this planet will decline till they are all dead.
The planet will recover it's just the animals will not they will be replaced by something with more brains who do not destroy everything that they touch. Reply

It's urgent, and getting worse because COVID and now a European "skirmish" has seen poeple ignore it. There are political positions that deny it, there is an argument that economics trumps the world and making money is more important than helping the world, and there are also some religious viewpoints that the Earth is for humans to do with as they will... and we need to combat these positions as well. I only hope my kids will have a world worth living in when they are adults. Reply

This, believe it not, is a bone of contention in our family. I do agree that this was an urgent issue years ago. We need, imo, to address this situation now for our future generation. Not saying it will be alright and these changes we see are all normal. Reply
