Teenage boy stabbed death at Sydney's Royal Easter Show identified by colleagues, after police confirmed the teenager had been working at the show.

Paramendics' best efforts, the teenager died while being taken to Westmead Hospital after being knifed in the chest. A 16 year-old-boy boy was also stabbed in the leg and is in a stable condition.

Another 15 year old boy, was arrested nearby a short time later and are still look for more suspects.

Plus a young 4 year old boy was not strapped in on ride. They have now launched a investigation on the 'Freefall ride' and has shut it down. What was a four year old doing on a dangerous ride like that?

People are now saying the 'the show is safe anymore'.
They should close the show down or police.

What do you think? Please Comment .......

I strap my 6 year old grand son onto a swing and stay with him at all times. How can this happen to a 4 year old.Sadly the death of a young teenager shows what can happen when there are not enough police at these events. It is not safe to simply go out at certain times of the day in my area alone Reply

You can get stabbed in daylight walking down the street where gangs are concerned. I wondered the same as you why a four year old was on a ride like that. Reply

Gangs with knives have been a problem in Sydney for decades, however it is rarely reported for fear of shouts of racism, people who grew up in the suburbs of Sydney Sth of the harbour know what I am talking about.
The Royal show is not what it was either used to be the country comes to the city back in the day, loved the sights and the smells as a kid, now it's just part with your $$$$ unfortunately.

Got such a shock when I saw this on TV news last night, it came through as a breaking news bulletin. I don't know whether it is safe anymore, but from what I gathered today from what I read and heard two groups off boys organised to meet up at the Sydney Show and it sounded to me like it was a planned meet and the result was one group bought knives the result was what we have seen.
Could be the plan was just to have a fight or some sort off altercation and it got out off hand. It happens a lot with groups off kids today they think it's cool to exhibit situations like this in public to get reactions from those around them unfortunately this time the result was one death other injuries and I read tonight they did arrest a 15 year old but released him. He was no responsible for the stabbing they are still looking for that person.
The Royal Easter Show Society will introduce metal detectors for people to walk through, random hand wanding and bag checks. Hopefully that will stop further problems.
Brisbane's Ekka will be on this August so hope they take precautions so something like this doesn't happen there. As for the 4yr old not being strapped in that is the responsibility off those working at the ride to check before they start the ride up.

I will fix my grammar 'The show isn't safe anymore'.
They should close the show and want more police to at Sydney Royal Easter Show.

This is horrific and yes I too wondered why a four year old would be on this ride..he was autistic as well. No seat belt however I wonder why no one was with him. Now for the young man that was killed my sympathies go to his family. Also sending thoughts to the young man that is injured. I think that this sort of behaviour is becoming more prevalent it is not only here but other places as well. Something does need to be done however..but as for closing the show down I do not know. These people that do this sort of thing would do it somewhere else. My opinion. Reply
