I was chatting with Treasure585 earlier , and the subject of Northern Soul came up . It wasn't just dancing , it was a communal experience !
Equipment was just basic , and the dancing was joyously freestyle !
I'm in the mood tonight , it's been a while lol ! KTF ;)
Do you like a bit of Northern ?

Thanks Steve i really appreciate that. What amazing music and dancing, proper 'freestyle' as you say. It'd be a great workout. We all have to try it i think. Just hope some of us don't get dizzy & fall over! I can't be held responsible if they do! :D

When I was in school in the 70s there was a song called 'Footsie' by Wigan's Chosen Few and we all danced like that and it became a dance to all the hit songs at the time like Tiger Feet by Mud, The Rubets songs and many others, it was very energetic and great fun, I can still do the footwork now Steve but I would not attempt the flips and spins at my age.;-)

It always appeared dangerous to me.
The dancers look at risk from breaking an ankle or being bruised by another dancer.
