Nobody Told Me…

What do you remember not being told?
I recall at primary school forgetting my PE kit because ‘nobody told me ‘ I’d need it that day. I was so upset to miss PE, because it was always fun.
I learned a lesson. That I was responsible for remembering what day I needed it.

Nobody told me ... some women change their behaviour depending on their partner. I infamously turned down the chance to date a friend, mostly because she acted very clingy and 'girly' towards the end of an evening with her then partner. If she didn't get her way she would stamp her feet and cause a little scene, and he would placate her and they'd head off for whatever it was she wanted. It would've driven me bonkers!
BUT with her next boyfriend she didn't do it. When I asked her about it, she explained that it was what the first guy liked. He liked the girly-girl thing and giving in to those little tantrums. Sadly, my rejection of her had burnt that bridge by the time she explained it.
Humans really should be supplied with a manual! ;-)

If we forgot our PE kit we had to do it in our thick navy blue knickers that we used to wear.

My senior school had quite a strict dress code! I forgot we weren't meant to wear any colour shoes except black or brown BUT turned up in a green pair one day & got sent straight home with a note for my mum to change them. I'm really not sure what effect that's had on me but i've never had another pair of green shoes!
