I just had a thought - there must be lots of people who either aren't familiar with his work , or who have only heard his rock stuff . Actually , he had a surprisingly tender side , of which this is my favourite .
I like how it switches from the male perspective to the female .
I was in this position 40 years ago . It was tough , but I eventually got used to being friends with benefits . I remember her every time I hear this . What do you think folks ?

I enjoyed watching an old series of Celebrity Apprentice USA in which Meat loaf was one of the celebrities. He made it down to the final few contestants and it was interesting to see him interacting with his fellow candidates as Meatloaf generally remained calm and focussed apart from when Gary Busey did something daft on an art task and Meat loaf lost his cool. He later apologised to Gary and i respected Meatloaf even more from then on as he realised that he shouldn't have lost his temper and instead apologised, moved on and went on to do well in the task.
Meatloaf also had a back catalogue of hits, this track being one of them. It is sad that covid got him in the end. None the less he was a great talent and he is a great loss to the music and entertainment industry.

Oh wow , a shiver just ran down my spine . I was reading an article about Jim Steinman , the brains behind the outfit . He died last April .
When asked for his reaction , Meatloaf spoke 2 sentences , thus .
" We belonged heart and soul to each other – we didn't know each other, we were each other,” . Then , a heartbreaking sentence ;
“I don't want to die, but I may die this year because of Jim.”
What an amazing , emotional tribute .

Yes this was a fine song ...he d a great life cut short Steve as i see it was covid that took him a anti vexxer type the news stated !
But he did plenty was well liked and loved by many famous and am sure his family to i remember him on Trumps version of the apprentice and he win it oul Donald loved him to , and by knowing many of the rich who respected him to , so the cheques they needed in his team to win happened all give to charity !
