Whatever happened to the term "ramping up".
Closed

Well it seems many things in the UK are still "ramping up" it's just that no one in authority is telling us about it .

Remember when vaccines , hospital places and testing were all being described as having been "ramped up" by the government .

Well here's a few more things that have been considerably "ramped up" but without being so well publicized over the past two years.

Inflation :- CPi 1.3% in December 2019 to 5.3% presently , RPi 7.5%

Hospitals :- numbers of patients waiting for hospital treatments and non-emergency operations reaching a record 6 million +.

National Debt :- Surged by over £500 Billion in the past two years and by over £1.3 Trillion in the past 12 years. Taking the total to a record £2.35 Trillion. Furlough cost £69 Billion so what was the other £431 Billion spent on ? Well a fair wedge went on unusable PPE and much more on fraudulent business loans that the government are unable to trace or reclaim.

Energy prices:- set to rise by 50% come April on top of a 14% rise last October.

Richest 1% of the population:- seeing their average wealth more than double in the past 2 years , due to money printing causing both asset and commodity bubbles that vastly favour the rich.

Food banks:- rapidly expanding to meet an ever growing demand.

Finally:- ad-hoc / "spur - of - the - moment" drink and party costs at No 10 Downing street .

I find it strange that none of the above have been highlighted as having "ramped up" but undoubtedly they have.

Can you think of anything else that has "ramped up" over the past couple of years ?

Probably lazy journalists have dropped 'ramped up' in favour of a new buzz-word or -phrase they can all use indiscriminately, much as they use 'iconic' as a throw-away adjective.

It's all smoke and mirrors to disguise the true state of this government's messing up of everything. Doris is and always has been a scruffy joke of a person.

I really like Boris Johnson Alan he's a wonderful man a stellar pinnacle of the bastion of British politics. A true leader. I can't understand why you have it in for him Alan............LOL.
I think you should invite him out for a duel or an arm wrestle.
