Bamboo

Have you noticed that Bamboo is becoming the new go to sustainable material. I have been buying bamboo sports clothing for a long time but I noticed a deodorant with bamboo as an ingredient and there is an increasing amount of food containers that are made of bamboo
Bamboo is very fast growing and requires relatively little water and obviously is biodegradable
Do have any bamboo products?

I love bamboo and have a bamboo fence in my back garden, I have seen toothbrushes made out of bamboo too but didn’t realise it was used in things like clothes? Will it replace plastic I wonder? It’s obviously natural, biodegradable and recyclable which is great. I’m just thinking where it’s being grown to keep up with all this new development? I just hope it’s done ethically and not like palm oil which is now in everything and has meant ripping up parts of the rainforest and making the poor aboriginal animals homeless? I know pandas love bamboo so I hope there’s plenty to still feed them? It’s all a balancing act lol

Yes I had noticed. I'm not sure I have any bamboo products except in the kichen where I have bamboo steamers, chopsticks, pot stands and chopping boards.

I had noticed.
I bought some 20+ years ago, but I don't use them now. I had a toothbrush with replaceable heads (which did not last) and a set of window blinds for the kitchen. I had also looked for small rugs to use in front of the furniture, to stop the carpet wearing away but did not find ones I liked before the toothbrush annoyed me!
I am sure manufacturing has come along a bit so I should re-engage with these types of products. :-)
