I was chatting to my grandson last night he was a chef before changing his career

He suggested trying low salt ie: low sodium . I've never tried it . Have you tried it what do you think?

I have used it in other people's homes in the past and it tasted okay, compared to normal table salt. If a person cannot reduce the amount of seasoning they add to meals, then it is a good alternative to try (so good advice from your grandson). :-)
Don't hugely increase how much you use though, as potassium based salts can kill too! I suspect you'll find a warning on the packet about asking GP's advice before usage based on certain pre-existing medical conditions.

this has been out for years Rose ,when my husbands blood pressure was too high i suggested he give it a try ,as he used to smother his food in salt (I dont like salt and never used it not even in cooking) he used it for years and he liked it ,and his blood pressure did reduce ,.He now is like me and hardly uses any salt ,he says he tastes his food now instead of salt give it a try you might surprise yourself ,it is much better for you
