This is the ' Angel of the North '. Some people love it whilst others hate it. What is your opinion ?

I've only seen it in pictures and it is impressive, I've seen a statue of his on the waterfront at Folkestone which is lovely.

I love it, too. Just like the haunting 'men on the beach' at Merseyside, also by Anthony Gormley, it has a sense of faded industrial power, but at the same time, a touching, poignant spirituality - it speaks to human frailty but transcendent hope :)
