It's chucking down with rain , howling wind , and just 4℃ .
My annual gas safety check is due today - which includes turning the heating off for an hour or two , aaagh ! Have you had yours done yet ?

All electric up here Steve, gone are the costs of service, exorbitant call out and parts charges or maintenance costs.

Our heating is oil. The boiler is due for a service and we’re just waiting for confirmation of when the guy is coming!
But today has been Baltic! We were out for a couple of hours, and I couldn’t believe how much the temperature had dropped indoors in that time. With hindsight I should have switched it on before we got home again.

If your house gets that cold in such a short time you need better insulation Steve. We had ours done in March.
