Inflation is 4.2% , so a 4% pay rise means a pay cut , agreed ?

Consequently , Tesco distribution staff are threatening industrial action at 14 of its 22 distribution centres , including warehouse staff and HGV drivers , on the 16th , 22nd and 30th of December . Tesco says its 4% offer is one of its highest ever in 25 years .
Let's hope it's just Tesco eh ? What do you think folks ?

Inflation is higher than it's been for a long time and their staff need to heat their homes and feed their families, so 4% isn't a pay RISE ....

Never a simple equation as inflation is a tricky chap, for many it is probably well over 5% for others that do not drink, smoke, drive and strive to live modestly it is well below 5%.
Perhaps it will drop dramatically as it has in Venezuala from 1946% to only 1575% Sep to Oct ,now that is inflation!
