Felt tip pens
Closed

Do you have and use felt tip pens? I have lot here as my grand daughter loves drawing with them, I have inexpensive ones and also some much dearer ones as sometimes we have an art project to do with them. My grand daughter always asks to use mine! No point my buying cheap ones anymore.

I have some but I find them so annoying because they always run out so quickly!

I have some that are years old. The only ones I liked to draw with were the fine line black ones.. otherwise I preferred colouring pencils.

Sharpie pen cases are also good re-engineered as high frequency test probes for RF voltmeters to measure signal levels inside small transmitters !

I've had some since I was at uni and they've all dried out, but the tubes one day will be used as formers for diy multi-band radio coils :). People like you keep reminding me of that project ! One day it might even happen...

I confess I have a bit of a thing about stationery. It was inculcated during my childhood, when a maiden aunt used to send myself and my sister a £10 WH Smith voucher every Christmas. Now, a £10 voucher would be a respectable amount to gift a small child nowadays - so imagine the buying power £10 had in WH Smith stationery department in the 1970's!
It used to take us literally hours to decide what to buy, but good quality felt tips, drawing pencils in every variant from 4H to 4B, coloured pencils, artists erasers and the large, very smooth tablet erasers, heavy art card and drawing paper, ink pens and cartridges.... Seeds of stationery addiction!
So yes. I have several large packs of different brands of excellent, art quality felt tips, as well as a whole drawer full of gel pens, charcoal, pastels, card, paper, notebooks, fountain pens, calligraphy workbooks.....!
