If you went out for a meal----

---- and the menu said king prawns, crab linguini with charitso. Would you expect to see some crab?
The reason I ask is because we went out for lunch today they had ran out of my first choice so I chose the above.
It turned out to be king prawns with a bowl full of charitso no crab at all except some shell and was very spicy not a lot of pasta though which I was glad about its not my fave. I don't think we will go again for a while , Dave and Dan enjoyed their steaks though.

Crab, especially tinned crab, can almost disintegrate into a sauce so can't be seen but can usually be tasted, although in this case the chef might have lost the flavour under a load of spices. Reply

This does sound very unfortunate. I’m not fond of seafood so would never choose this meal, but I do like chorizo and linguine.
I think it is not uncommon to serve king prawns with the shell still on, but not crab, unless you are getting a whole crab.

That's disappointing and surely it's food fraud as well. Crab's expensive but in that case, they should just not include it on the menu in the first place! Reply

I would have expected there to be some crab in your meal! No wonder you were disappointed with what you were given! Reply

crab linquini might mean crab flavoured pasta ? surely the chirozo would overpower the flavour anyway, as well as the prawns, apart from in a paella thats quite a combination of flavours rose Reply
