Good wet and dull morning
Has anyone had their ear syringed lately?

Closed

My husband has been having problems with his hearing. It started after a shower so I bought some eat wax removal drops which hes used now for 3weeks but there's no change. It's driving him made so he phone to see a nurse at the gp surgery. Got to see her after a few days and was told yes your ear is blocked NHS don't do it anymore Specsavers do.
Phoned them to be told its £55. I was totally shocked to say the least
Looks like hes going to have to have it done though
Poor man.

just put some olive oil,[ no fancy drops], in the ear every day for a couple of weeks and that should loosen it that's what we do.

I got some hearing aids about 2 years ago to be able to hear TV dramas (did not work) and Specsavers syringed both as part of the deal but do not suffer from ear wax.
Turning to GPs,we have pretty well given up our local practice and just pay to see one at the Hospital when we need to.
