Good wet and dull morning
Has anyone had their ear syringed lately?

My husband has been having problems with his hearing. It started after a shower so I bought some eat wax removal drops which hes used now for 3weeks but there's no change. It's driving him made so he phone to see a nurse at the gp surgery. Got to see her after a few days and was told yes your ear is blocked NHS don't do it anymore Specsavers do.
Phoned them to be told its £55. I was totally shocked to say the least
Looks like hes going to have to have it done though
Poor man.

Yes Sue. I had a blocked ear and went to see a nurse at my GP's who told me to use some spray. This did absolutely nothing to help as it was an ear infection which simply got worse. I ended up on antibiotics which cleared the infection. My GP's have an audiology nurse and I got an appointment with her and she used micro-suction to clean out both ears. It was very uncomfortable but the results were amazing! Plus it cost me nothing, so I was very happy. The service at Specsavers for £55 is exactly the same procedure so I would recommend it if you can't get it done for free at your GP's.
