Have you ever sold anything on Facebook marketplace or Kijiji?

I just recently tried selling a few things for the first time, had a little success, but it seems like sometimes it's more hard work than it's worth! What with all the negotiating back and forth, setting up a meet time, etc.
I listed something today and got 60 inquiries!!! My phone was going nuts all day! On a 10-year-old wooden kitchen cart that has a stained counter, but 60 people were still interested! You never know what people might be interested in... if you haven't tried it, give it a try, seems like a good way to make a bit of cash on the side! Be prepared for some haggling and dodgy people though :P

Share some of your best and worst selling experiences! :)

I sold a few things on facebook buy & sell groups earlier this year, but NOT "marketplace" exactly...I've sold things on kijiji in the past as well, but it tends to be more of a hassle with some crazies. Reply

I use facebook market place. It is really quick to get rid of things you no longer want. Price it right - no holds beyond a reasonable amount of time - first come first serve. Mark your item price as firm if you aren't interested in haggling. As soon as you get a confirmed meet time with someone, mark the item as PPU (pending pick up) and it should stop your phone from blowing up. Reply

I sold several pieces of furniture before we moved on Facebook Marketplace. I found that lots of people appeared interested but when I would attempt to contact them, they didn't respond - seems a big waste of my time. I also found that you have to price the item so that when someone wants a lower price, you can offer it (and this was probably the price you wanted in the first place) Reply

I sold a lot of baby articles on kjiji and everyone haggles, the best is no body ever seems to show up with the proper amount so you have to make change or if founding have smaller bills let it go at a small.loss. Reply

I use kijiji, if the offers are idiotic - I just ignore them and some things I post get sold within a day Reply
