Would You Take Advantage Of This?
Closed

It is pretty much luck of the draw where you get seated on a plane, and it just might be in front of a kicking or screaming toddler.

Now you can change that if you fly with Japan Air. They have a booking system that lets you see where children are going to be seated and they give you the option of sitting as far away as possible.

When you book your flight, it now displays a seating plan. Seats taken up by children under the age of 12 are specially marked with an icon.

I have often heard of passengers having a horrible flight because of unruly children seated near them. I'm not a frequent flyer and have never had an issue, but I suppose if it were a long flight or I wanted be able to relax and enjoy it, I might consider this option.

What about you?

I would use that option if it was available to me, when I am travelling to the Caribbean because it is usually about six hours of torment.

Parents need to discipline, but it would depend on the price.
