Dogs!!!! A new trend in resturants.

Would you eat in a resturant where some customers take their dogs . I wouldnt . i dont like dogs, I wouldnt hurt them but I dont want to be around them especially when Im eating food. Its the same with smokers i wont eat where people are smoking I really hate the smell, resturants now have designated areas for smokers which is a good thing then we all have free choice to sit where we want, but people go in and plonk down with their animal where they want without consideration for others should there be a designated area for them too. How about you?

I'm a dog lover , it would not annoy me one bit seeing a dog better to look at than some humans :) Reply

The only dogs in restaurants should be hot ones on a bun Rose. :-) xx Reply

I don't really see why dogs are allowed in pubs and restaurants or why people insist on taking them everywhere with them. As for smokers, I think the practice should be stamped out completely. Reply

We are just getting used to the idea of taking Bonnie out to dinner. It is lovely to be able to take her with us. We always keep her on the lead and under the table. Mostly places where she has been allowed have been outdoors but not exclusively. Some have had particular areas where dogs are permitted.
She is well behaved and never begs. We have trained her to be like that.
I respect any establishment that prefers not to allow pets, but we will not be going in them now. Wetherspoon’s is definitely off the list!
People that don’t like dogs, or other pets, have the option of going to other eateries where they are not permitted.
It is not unhygienic to eat in a restaurant where my dog is asleep on the floor. It makes no difference to your eating experience unless you choose it to.

Only if they're thoroughly cooked and were certified as having been fed organically, otherwise I'm not patronising that establishment. Reply

I'm used to dogs in pubs but I don't really want them in resturants but I'd rather have that than hooligan children running around in pubs.
Incidentally there is a cafe chain where cats sit around wherever they want.

I often take my 3 dogs with me when we have lunch at a garden centre restaurant; however, we eat in a designated dog area under cover but detached from the main eating area ! Reply

I love dogs but I don’t think they should be in restaurants unless they are a guide dog. Reply
