Today is Piggy Bank Day.
Closed

Did you have a piggy bank when you were young? What was it? An actual piggy bank or a jar or one of the ones that you got from the bank? Did you ever raid it? Did you get an allowance and put in your piggy bank? What jobs did you do to get an allowance? Did you do school banking? Do you kids/grandkids have a piggy bank? We have a glass jar that we put our gold coins into. We take it to the bank every few months and get quite a bit of money out of it. Do you do something like that? Love to see your replies.

I did have a piggy bank when I was young, they are great and very cute. I had one that you could take the change out and another that had to be cut open when it was full. I loved saving and doing odd jobs around the house and working in a school I see how much kids still love doing this. Now we put our change in a jar too then off to the bank when there’s enough to deposit.

Yes I've had a few piggy banks when I was a kid. I've had the Squirrel. I think it was from SBT at the time. I've had one from Commonwealth Bank, a box that you put together and jars and other containers. I currently have a small pig piggy bank now which I put my loose change in. All in silver and I keep a small round glass container for my gold coins, which I use for the washing machine. For all other money, I have separate accounts which I put money in for different things.

GOLD COINS, different household than mine.
Lucky to see an old Copper bent up half Penny placed in a Jam tin called Money Box.
