Cling film
Closed

Do you use cling film? I use it for covering stuff to stop splashing in the microwave and putting around a sandwich etc., I wonder if it will still be available with plastic becoming so unpopular.

They are busy working on eco-acceptable alternatives, so fear not.
I do use it but not often. The main use is to cover things being put in the fridge (like a half can of beans).

I have some but try not to use it and use alternatives. Sometimes use it if I have to wrap a dough and leave it in the fridge before rolling.

We often wrap stuff for the freezer, then use a recycled plastic bag from our local greengrocer and seal the whole lot with sellotape. What will happen to sellotape ?

For the reason of plastic being such a problem, I have stopped using it and either leave things unwrapped, put a plate or a bowl on top of something to cover it or use beeswax wrap, which is washable and reusable.

I have the remnants of a roll Mary, I will get some plash covers, and use other containers once I run out. I have seen several alternatives on sale all biodegradable, so the alternatives are already out there.
