It was extremely hot today! I woke up early this morning hoping that I would mow the lawn in our garden. I noticed that my carabao grass was rather high and they need to be cut short.

Unfortunately, that did not happen because it was just too sunny and hot. I was finishing my breakfast and I looked out of my kitchen window. It was only 8am in the morning and I was hoping that there would still be a lot shaded areas. The whole garden was completely full of sunlight and, as I walked to the stoned pavements, I could feel the heat on my rubber sandals. The weather here in Quezon City was very humid. I started to sweat a little as I checked out my tomato plants. I noticed that a lot of the leaves were brown and dry. It is as though the summer heat toasted the leaves.

It was rather unusual today because it rained briefly around 4pm. This made everything much worse because the brief rain did not cool us down. It felt like we were inside a hot siopao steamer. The brief rain quickly turned into hot steam and it was more humid than ever.

I recently saw a post that Pasay City registered a 41 C. That was very high and very dangerous to our health because it was already considered a very high fever. I dared not go out to my garden this afternoon because I was afraid of getting a heatstroke. I rather stayed inside my airconditioned living room and sipped some cold drink or smoothie to beat the heat.
