Detox Bath Recipes
Closed

Feeling run down or in need of a detox? A simple detox bath can do more than just relieve stress; it can also soothe sore muscles, help stop colds and infections from getting worse, and can even draw impurities out from your skin and ease eczema.

Here are 5 simple detox bath recipes using some ingredients in your kitchen, and a few inexpensive ingredients which can be found at most convenience stores.

Soothe itchy eczema skin

Ingredients: 1 cup of colloidal oats (this is normal oats blended into a fine powder)
Benefits: Colloidal oatmeal baths can help relieve the dry, itchy, and irritated skin caused by eczema. You can buy colloidal oatmeal or you can make your own from regular oatmeal. *Before adding oatmeal baths to your skincare regimen, ask your doctor if they’re appropriate to help control the itching of your eczema.

Eliminate toxins & soothe sore muscles

Ingredients: 1–2 cups Epsom salt + large scoop coconut oil
Benefits: Epsom salt delivers a dose of magnesium (eliminates toxins, stimulates blood flow, soothes sore muscles). Coconut oil leaves skin moisturized. Soak for 60′.

Anti-Inflammatory & soothe itchy skin

Ingredients:1/4 cup mustard bath + 1 cup baking soda
Benefits: An anti-inflammatory treat for sore muscles and achy joints. Baking soda soothes dry, itchy skin, while the mustard creates a warming “icy hot” effect.

Antibacterial pore cleanse

Ingredients: 1 cup of apple cider vinegar + 1/2 cup Epsom salt + 5 drops lavender essential oil
Benefits: This antibacterial bath helps relieve skin or vaginal infections. The ACV has antibacterial effects and cleans out pores–even in sensitive regions.

Draw out skin impurities

1 cup sea salt + 1 cup Epsom salt + 2 cups baking soda + 10 drops eucalyptus essential oil
Combine in hot water and soak for as long as you can. Salts + baking soda draw out impurities and excess water while delivering a dose of natural minerals.

Do you already use these combinations at home or will you be trying some for the first time?
