Hawksmoor

Dedicated Follower of Fashion?

The handsome chap in the pic is a rare example of leucism in penguins - not quite albinism, where there is a complete absence of melanin pigmentation, but where it is substantially lacking. In this particular species, it is thought to be a one in 120,000 - 150,000 occurrence and the photograph was taken by some very happy researchers who spotted their rare bird straightaway on the shore :)

He looks very smart in his springtime pastel yellow colours, doesn't he?!

Are you a fashionable sort, who refreshes your wardrobe every season?

Or do you only replace clothing when it no longer fits, falls apart, or your other half tells you you're not fit to be seen in it? ;)

I usually buy new when I'm told Hawks, or other folk buy it for me. As for fashion, I've never been a follower. :-) xx Reply

That penguin looks a bit smug with himself! :-) I only buy clothes when they get really worn out or if I need more of a certain type of clothing. Most of what I buy is sports clothing. Reply

Charity shops are great for finding something extraordinary and, usually, cheaper. Donate back when you're ready to. Good if you change size often, as I do.
Never heard of leucism - interesting.
Very dapper isn't he/she.

I tend to see clothes as an investment and while happy to buy "fast fashion" in my case usually Zara Man, if I am spending money on something special then it has to be classic with a twist or something that was never in fashion to begin with. Reply

I still have clothes I bought in the 80s, still fit, and I only buy new clothes when needed or if I see something I really like but I am certainly not a slave to fashion, I am my own fashion, if it suits me and I feel good I'm happy.;-) Reply

I only buy new clothes when I need to do so.
No follower of fashion but I do have style.
A penguin bit me once & it had awful breath.
