Brandy cream for breakfast?
Closed

Yesterday I found this food of the gods going cheap in Iceland and am using in unexpected places.

If you're wondering, yes, brandy cream - sometimes called brandy sauce - appears to be cream with a touch of brandy.

Yesterday we had it with a pudding, this morning with syrup on my porridge. The New Year Diet is going to have to wait this year.

Are you still using up Christmas leftovers?

Food don't hang around that long in our house, lol ;) tho, I have to say, Brandy cream is most definitely NOT the ambrosia you claim it to be! Xmas pud should be served with single cream :) ...still at least you're not bigging up brandy butter - that abomination! :0
No, the true Food Of The Gods (category: puddings) is, unequivocally, the Vanilla Slice :)

Got my own personal pâté mountain, yet to start a variety pack that only myself likes.

I still have a jar of brandy butter in the fridge, it is from a rather posh purveyor of groceries. I am still wondering if I should eat it, or frame it for posterity. Sadly most of what I bought has not been touched, for some reason I did not feel like celebrating.

I still have the Stilton I bought for Christmas plus (and don't tell David Watkins) a full packet of chocolate digestives. Oh, and 24 out of the 36 chocolate penguins my Mum & Dad sent me in the post.
Brandy cream in porridge sounds terrific, so now I am wondering how caramel filled chocolate penguins do in porridge. :-)

No, only a few chocolates. Then again, I only buy food for myself so I just bought enough to feed myself!

We've got 6 freezer bags of turkey to use in curries Roger. The shortbread and mince pies have suffered severe losses and only a few stragglers are left. :-)
