Summer clothes.

I love getting out my summer clothes after the dark dreary colours of winter. My wardrobe consists of lots of bright colours, not just plain but patterned too. I tend to stick to 'cool colours' mainly as they suit me better than 'warm colours', blues, (all shade of) turquoise, pink, (again all shades of, pale and bright), bright red. The one colour that I really love is bright turquoise.

The one colour I never wear is beige, it just doesn't suit me.

1. What's your summer wardrobe like, do you wear bright/patterned colours, do you have a colour that really suits you?

2. Are there any colours that are a definite no no?

I tend to wear the same colours all year round, usually black, white, navy, pale blue and as an accent, orange. I would never wear yellow, brown, purple or green. Reply

Oh yes! I am 5ft 9in so am taller then most people, for summer I have maxi dresses and skirts, all in one trouser and tops and summer dresses all in a variety of colours on the hotter days I tend to wear the dresses and feel very cool and feminine in them! I have a lot of friends locally due to helping them out in the shop in some way and the less tall women stop, stare and sigh and say only you with your height and figure could carry that off! Reply

Please don't misunderstand me, but my wife is weird ! She used to wear lots of mostly very bright colours. When her Father died the only thing she could find for the funeral was a mostly bright yellow and somewhat less black, pattern (she lived miles away from her former home). Her Mum didn't seem too happy that she didn't have anything all black (though her Mum was very kind and would never have commented out loud). Subsequently, most of my wife's clothes were black. Dresses, jeans, T-shirts, jumpers - you name it. I had to tell her to go and get something coloured. She now has a few brighter items. Reply

Being a male doesn't stop me from boycotting anything white or indeed pink, dear Chrissy :) xx
I prefer black or grey trousers and a short sleeved shirt throughout the year. All of my current shirts are in various shades of blue. Though at one time I had a black shirt, a couple of darkish grey ones along with going through a number of checked shirts. They have now all gone by the board I'm pleased to say.

I don't have a "summer wardrobe". I generally access the same clothing, although very rarely shorts do get worn and sweatshirts are more likely to be worn in winter. Reply
