Sounds you have missed

From my window I can hear a sound a wonderful sound, one that I have not heard for the last ten weeks - that of children playing out on the school field and playground. What sounds have you missed during lockdown?

Lovely bit of sound in the background Minnie. We were sat in the back last night and could hear the neighbour's two kids playing and the little boy was proper teasing his younger sister. Today it's just the birds chirping Reply

Sorry dearest Minnie, but I can well do without the sound of children, as the old saying goes they should be seen and not heard. I prefer my periods of complete and total silence, as noise interferes with the purity of my thoughts. Reply

Good morning to the lovely Lady Minnie ~ as of this morning; I realised I have missed the "Sounds of Silence" (thanks to Simon & Garfunkel) as the kids next door seem to have gone to school ?
I can hear the grass grow (can't remember who sang that one) again !

Like you I miss the sound of children. I live within earshot of two primary schools. In this area the Whit half term is two weeks so will not be until next week that the schools will open.
However I have enjoyed being able to hear more birdsong as the sound of traffic has reduced.
