Medical Monday ~ Making Sense of Cholesterol IV
Closed

Today I will cover food and exercise. Some foods such as egg yolks and fatty red meat, increase LDL (bad) Cholesterol levels. Regular physical activity can raise HDL (good) Cholesterol levels. Following a healthy diet and exercising regularly are important steps in lowering cholesterol. Keep in mind, this may not always be enough and you should always talk to your doctor before starting any exercise program.

Did you know that the Mayo Clinic suggests 30 minutes of physical exercise a day?

I had heard this before.

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a blessed day!

I've heard that as well and make it a priority to eat right and get plenty of exercise. That being said, special gourmet treats such as the one at my hockey games are fine too in moderation lol

I have elevated cholesterol. I'm a pescetarian, aerobic exercise 30 -60 minutes per day and make sure to get a lot of fibre. I think it's hereditary, as my hot-dog-eater father has it too.
Thanks dad.
