What would you do?

A woman named Wendi Williams recorded this video of the guy sitting behind her on a Jan. 31 American Airlines flight from New Orleans to Charlotte. The video has gone viral. He is punching her seat because she is reclining. He is in the last row and cannot recline. He asked her to put her seat up because he was eating, she did, but reclined again when he was finished. That is when he started punching her seat. Wendi complained to a flight attendant, who told her it was tight back there, and gave the man a complimentary cocktail.

Would you recline or not if the seat behind you could not?

I would if it were a long flight, but maybe not all the way back. They only go back a little way. If someone were to do that to me tho because I was reclining, I would ask to be moved, or maybe I would switch with the passenger doing the "boxing".

I wouldn't recline because I would put myself in his place and think I wouldn't like it either, but his behavior is also not nice. Reply

I don't fly, if I did, I would not recline, since the person behind has so little room, and I would definitely let the airlines know. Reply

I would probably not recline my seat just to keep the peace. I hate confrontation. I would have a problem with those small spaces as I have claustrophobia. The airlines are creating a bad problem that could affect the health of many people as it is not good to sit in such a small space for a long period of time. Not everybody can afford 'first class' where there is more room! Reply

From the looks of this video they are both acting very childish and immature. They are both causing themselves too much grief!!! It also looks like he has no room at all so I would in the future never get that seat again!!! This also proves to me why I don’t like flying not because I don’t like it or to travel because I love traveling! It’s just the small spaces with a lot of people that I hate :0 Reply

I go by car. I never liked flying, on account of its passivity, and when the TSA security theater started, I became adamantly a non-flier. Reply

The airlines are obviously at blame fir outting profits before people. the personal space each passenger has is declining constantly.
At least they can both sue.

It was rude to recline the seat so much but also rude to bang on the seat in front. Best to call over a flight attendant to bring attention to the problem and solve it that way. Reply
