What are your thoughts on adults in charge of children being restricted to having two alcoholic drinks per session in a pub ?

I have been reading that is what one Wetherspoon pub in Kent has brought in after unacceptable behaviour by children. I am quite in favour of this having had more then one meal of pub restaurant spoiled by children running around causing trouble. From what I can see the rule is simply reinforcing the 1902 licencing act where it is against the law to be drunk in charge of a child under seven in a public place. I am hoping this rule will be implemented by other pubs where children are allowed to run wild while the parents get drunk.

What are your thoughts on the two drink rule that has been introduced ?

I feel that 16 and up should be able to have 3-5 drinks with their parents or family Reply

I’m in favour, an adult should be responsible for the children, when under the influence of a lot of alcohol, you aren’t capable of looking after yourself properly never mind children. Reply

I think this is a very sensible idea. If an adult is looking after a child they should be aware and in a fit state to take care of them Reply
