McDonald's to trial recycling unwanted plastic toys into new products
Closed

From this week, 7 McDonald’s restaurants in the UK and Ireland will take part in The Big Toy Take Back.
This initiative is designed to collect unwanted plastic toys for recycling into new usable items.
They will accept any plastic toy as McDonald’s seeks to gauge customers’ reactions to toy recycling in-store.

The Big Toy Take Back aims to give old toys a new life in a different and useful form.
The four-week trial will see customers return any plastic toy to the restaurant before two suppliers work with the returned plastic to create new items for communities across the UK and Ireland.
