In South Africa today we are celebrating Heritage Day. We look back and reminisce about the good old days when Mother Earth was the most important thing. Days where littering and being uncaring were unheard of. We should start doing that again and love our planet.
As they say, charity begins at home. I should be the one teaching the younger ones not to litter, encourage them to clean up and use available bins as opposed to littering. Show them the effects of littering and pollution and how beautiful nature is if we really take care.
I have already started a clean up project in our community and I am proud to say our community is one of the cleanest places, we pick up any rubbish and put it in relevant bins, if we see anyone littering whistle blowers do their job and people gather up, go to that person's place and tell them to go clean their rubbish while we are still there watching, that has lessened littering and our township is cleaner. I am proud of what my community does to clean up, what about you?
