Paper Mache

I'm rather a fan of BBC Good Foods website and was having a look for some inspiration when i found this recipe... https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/howto/guide/how-make-paper-mache for paper mache... on a food website?! The couple of comments people have put underneath are quite funny.

Anyways! It has actually inspired me and so we're going to make a start this evening after dinner when the dining table will be free to use, I'm thinking masks using balloons. What recipe do you/did you used to use to make Paper Mache? What did you used to make with it?

I remember making paper mache masks at school with balloons ,it was just paper and paste put on a balloon and left to dry ,then painted afterwards Reply

I've thought about that, with chicken-wire and a basic wooden frame for some life-size dinosaur sculptures in the back garden... I have also thought about similar cows and sheep... Something seems to be stopping me from pursuing this insanity... YET ;)). Reply

I think I just used a Wikihow recipe but it's essentially just glue with a bit of water isn't it? My daughter made a hot air balloon as part of a school project a couple of years ago so we just did it over a balloon to get the balloon shape and then painted it once it was all dry. Reply

The last time I used it was in primary school Amy, I made a shield for the school play (I was a Roman soldier)
Good luck with the masks. xx
