Making A Concoction .

Tonight for dinner i thought i would just throw some bits together in a baking dish and hope for the best .I used miss shaped bacon cut up small , onion diced , potatoes diced , peas , corn , French beans cut up in pieces , garlic , sea salt , pepper , Worcestershire sauce, oil , baked it in the oven and it smells gorgeous .
Have you ever made a concoction with things in your cupboard and had a good result ? share some of your concoctions with us .

I usually put things in a casserole or make a curry with leftover food in the fridge

I do this, usually for casseroles or stews. Tonight I made a lentil and chorizo stew with red wine, some tomato puree, a beef stock cube, herbs de provance, a smidgen of Marmite, a tin of carrots and a tine of cut green beans. My husband loved it.

Can't say i have much Jeanie :) quick meals and ready meals for me ,but do mix it up with a concoction of sauces and cut up veg mostly peppers and red onions and see what sauce in a jar i have left :) enjoy your grub:))) !

Funnily enough I've just had an 'omel-otto' with rice, leftover veg and egg.I have to say I'd not recommend it though, I feel a bit queasy now:)

on saturdays hubby always has egg chips and beans ,me i throw anything in a pan and do a stir fry ,last saturday ,i had some chicken pieces ,so added lots of cut veg /onions tomatos/broccolli/cauli /grated carrots even a cold boiled egg and it was lovely .hubby always says that smells nice but he wont have one of my mix ups

Put some grated cheese on top and call it a gratin Peaches, we do things like that to use up leftovers quite often.;-)
