When someone gets on your nerves, what do you do?
Closed

I am sorry to say that I normally jump up and down like i should of been in a mental hospital years ago, leaving the whole world looking at me which only adds to me being more upset which just gets my mouth going at full speed which isn't very polite and whilst the wholeworld is LOOKING at me not very approvingly my blood pressure goes through the roof and if i catch anyone brave enough to make eye contact... LETS JUST SAY THEY REGRET IT.

I tend to tell them and can sometimes be so quick with a response that I don't realise - I don't make a big fuss but people do generally get the hint

WOW! This seems a bit excessive for someone just getting on your nerves! I think you need to take a chill pill now and then. You can't go through life like that reacting in such an extreme way, what will you do if something really bad happens blow a fuse??

We have someone at work who does moaning like she has a masters degree in it. I found that everytime she does it I give her a positive stance on whatever she says, really gets her p****d off, so funny!!

Depends who It is. Mainly I tend to wander off and let my mind wander. Or if it is really bad, then walk away

I used to be quite patient, but as I get older seen to get more aggrivated and narked a lot more than I used to.
If someone gets on my nerves say on the train to / from work - ie a stranger tries to engage conversation and they are under the influence of drink, I will try and give one word answers, ignore them (if I have my head phones in listening to music), or even change seats.
If a customer gets on my nerves (luckily only contact is by phone), will let them say what they want and switch off (ie type away doing other work), once call has ended will let off steam by telling my colleagues what a toss pot (being polite) I had on the phone and have a few extra goes on the lottery!
