When you get into a crowded lift what do you do, do you talk, giggle stand quietly or not get in as it's to crowded?

Im not a great lover of lifts and will take the escalotor most times but when I do use them for some reason (most probably because I'm anxious and want out) I get very chatty. I wonder what everyone would do if I started dancing maybe I should do that today as I feel in a silly mood I'll get in with music playing on my mobile and start jigging around wonder if anyone will join in?

Only if i have to Sue hospital ones i can cope with i hate them but someone chatting does help if a stranger asking you a question it takes its mind of it , i would do a stair first to be quiet honest in my mums home the lift constant breaks down and i never get in that some old one with dementia ah! no and they the smallest lift i ever seen a human tin tomb :-) stairs it is , but would be happy stuck in a lift with you , you would be good company ,:-)

I tend to look at the floor, wall or anything that avoids eye contact... It's a symptom of travelling on the London Underground since a tender age :).

I tend to use the stairs. If I use the lift and I'm not with anyone that I know I'm silent. Unless that is someone starts talking to me. I don't usually initiate anything.
Quite often, in one of these stuck-with-strangers situations, a small child will tell me something interesting. I do like talking to children especially if they're in a bored but curious mood. Not so long ago a little boy told me that his mum (standing alongside him) was heading for salsa classes and did I ever go. I said I didn't but that it sounded like fun and maybe he should go. Which was apparently the funniest thing ever.
Thanks for the post. Hope you have a good day in what ever lift or escalator you find yourself.

I tell fellow passengers all the wrongdoings I committed in life and convince them the lift is descending into Hell.
