Why doesn't Wayne Rooney sing the National Anthem?

Prior to the England v. Egypt Football game on 3/3/10, i noticed that Wayne Rooney was the only player not to be singing, or attempting to sing, the National Anthem. This is not the first time I have noticed his actions, and I believe he should feel proud to represent his country on these occasions, and so join in with the rest of the team to sing our National Anthem. What do you think?

Perhaps he is tone deaf or incapable of learning the words. . . . . . . . . . . . .

We were saying the exact same thing. As they went past each of the players everyone was singing or at least miming the words to the anthem. The supprters are immensely proud of their team and their country and belt it out and i think the players should do it to. If it really is such an honour and a dream to represent his country then he should show it by singing his country's national anthem. Especially seen as though he was the next in line for the captains arm band when Gerrard went off.
