Does anyone go into their garden late at night to see the stars or if there is any wildlife about?

Because of the warm weather I have been wandering outside to chill a little. We have a small garden but lots of bushes and shrubs with plenty of wildlife lurking. We have been lucky enough to see hedgehogs and big frogs. No meteor showers though.

I haven't seen or heard any hedgehogs in our garden for years, we occasionally see foxes & bats in the evening.

As the sun has gone down on the warmer nights, I've had some wonderful moths in the garden. There have also been some bats around - tiny pipistrelles and a bigger one that I can't identify - probably catching some of the moths I've been admiring! I know there's a badger about, as it's wrecked the bottom of my fence and made a track through the grass from the fence to the steps down to the patio, but I've never actually seen it.

If you look up long enough ( usually 20-30 minutes ) , you have a good chance of seeing a sporadic meteor :)

If you put a white sheet on your line and shine a light behind it, you'll get a dandy selection of night insects. I did it with hubby's grandchildren when they were small and it scared the heck out of them both.

I have sooo many windows that even if I am inside, there is plenty of outside to see. Right now I see a deer with her baby, pheasant and magpies. :) x

No garden anymore, but I used to have hedgehogs squirrels and a fox, there is a big tree near my window though and two squirrels play there.
