what do you consider as the essential apps on your smartphone?

What do you guys do on your phone??
beside making/receiving calls, sending/receiving texts or whatsapp,
google map, checking train/bus times, journey planners, calculator, webbrowser, camera, lights, checking time, and making plans/appointments on your calendars....

everything else seems to fall into the entertainment/social media/distractions categories....

Do you think you can give up all those non-essentials apps?

The ones I use the most are weather, Toluna, candy crush, banking and Next ! Ooo also Amazon and a couple of job site apps

I have most of the above, plus The AA for car emergencies, Notes, reminders, Settings, Whatapp, Messenger, FaceTime, Photos. Calendar etc plus sky news, O2, Speed test of Mobiles ( test internet strength etc) and Weather, Travel, Home, Ibooks, Find My phone & more

Without doubt my banking app. I always check it almost on a daily basis. I definitely check it before I go out to do any shopping and check it again on returning from the shops, or check it on the bus on the way home. 95% of the preinstalled apps are a total waste of space as far as I'm concerned, but I cannot find a way of deleting them.

at the moment def this app ..nut last year had many bingo apps and ended up in deep do do ..looked something to do in a day as health issues ..think this best decision this year..bingo forgot
