Same Sex Marriage is now legal in all states. What are your thoughts?
Closed

The Supreme Court handed down a historic opinion today, ruling that same-sex couples have a right to marry under the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. This strikes down state-level bans on same-sex marriages and requires that all 50 states issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

Honestly I can't believe it took so long for this issue to be resolved. Every citizen has a right to be legally married and receive all the benefits that entitles. Should churches be forced to perform a marriage if it violates their beliefs? Absolutely not. But there is no reason to deny our citizens legal rights and I'm glad the Supreme Court finally recognized that.

I'm a devout Catholic, so in my opinion this flies in the Face of God. I fear for what He will do to this country for passing this law. I think we need to remember Sodom and Gomorrah and learn from their mistakes, not repeat them.

It's amazing, everyone should be free to love who they want, without being judged,I'm straight but I'm happy for the gay people who live in America,I hope one day gay people will be free in Italy too.

Good to have this nation wide finally instead of individual states making the determination.
